Beauty 101: Your lipstick questions, my answers!

Hi everyone!
Today I'm going to give you some tips to help you find the lipstick you're looking for
There are so many lipsticks out there I feel like every time I go into the mall or a drugstore, I'd be so lost

So, I've been doing research online & I decide to make a post to break it down for you girls

The Simple, Most Perfect Trick to Finding Your Best Shade of Lip Colour

According to make up artist Bobbi Brown, the most flattering lip tones will be one or two tones darker than your natural lip colour. To test shades, just apply the lip stick or gloss to your lips and if that colour is a shade or two deeper than your bare lip, then you've found your shade.

Yes, it's as simple as that. So what to do if you like to buy your lipsticks at a department store or grocery store where you're not allowed to try the lipsticks before you purchase? You can trust the colour printed on the box. Simply hold it up to your lips and check it out in the mirror. Or better yet, check the colour nearby a window so that you can see how it looks like when the sun shines on it.
Anyhow, I always recommend trying before you buy.

Thin lips? Stay away from dark shades

Darker shades will only highlight those thin lips, which is not what we want. Those with less fuller lips should opt for tinted glosses or creamy lipsticks as the creaminess and sheers adds plumpness.

Oppsie! You didn't like the lipstick you just bought

Don't throw them away.
You can create a great lipcolour by blending lipsticks you dislike. For lipsticks that are just too bright, tone them down by applying a darker liner before hand.

Now, use the knowledge above and you'll rock the lipstick shades!

Step 1
If you have slidely dry lips like me, always apply a lip balm before you put on a lipstick or a lipstain!
They won't look good with lines of your lips showing, would they?

The more complicated way of choosing lip colour

While picking the right shade is as easy as going tones darker than your bare lip colour we can delve just a wee bit deeper in the science of shades and skin tone.
Ladies with fair skin, will look great in lipstick shades such as nudes, pinks and light corals.
Precaution: Stay aware from browns! they'll make you look like.. well, blah.

Ladies with medium skin tone can go a bit darker like roses, mauves & berries. Skip the bright red and consider a burgundy red instead!

Ladies with deeper skin tone, deep plum, chocolate & red are the colours and will look fabulous on you!
According to the editors of Allure's "Confessions of a Beauty Editor", women in dark or black skin can go in one of two directions: towards brown or purple. Think caramel or walnut for day look, and plum or wine for evening.

That marks my first post for March!
